Marche is home to two excellent wines, also renowned outside our borders: Verdicchio and Lacrima.

However, the list of excellent “grape nectars” present in local wine lists is longer and deserves adequate attention in the sections that make up this chapter. This ancient drink accompanies the tasty dishes of the culinary tradition and is celebrated with numerous dedicated festivals in Marche.

As many as 14 DOC wines and 2 DOCG wines are produced in Marche, and wine lists including dozens of local labels can usually be found in restaurants. In general, the most popular wines in the Senigallia area are those produced locally, in addition to classics from the great Italian wine regions.
