Here are some inviting routes to discover the city by choosing the most suitable means of transport for your needs.
Below is a list of suggestions for a walk in the hills of Senigallia, to discover new striking panoramas in the green vegetation.
- From the Cesano Bruciata provincial road, go along the Cesano river to reach Montedoro, a green area that runs along a site of archaeological finds.
- From via Cellini to the Fontenuovo road, overlooking the countryside, farms, a few churches, and the Capuchin hill that goes up to Scapezzano.
- Going along the hospital towards Corinaldo, turn right at the traffic lights into Via del Camposanto Vecchio, slightly uphill; continue along the former Episcopal Seminary made famous by Mario Giacomelli’s photographs depicting priests in the snow. Here, you can then choose from among various bifurcations, along hillside streets between farms, villas, religious niches and churches.
- Still from the hospital of Senigallia, go up towards Montebianco past Borgo Catena; you will find historic villas and a varied, gentle landscape with Scapezzano in the background.
- From Corinaldo provincial road, just before Roncitelli from the Cannella road, take the Moroso road, between ditches, trees and an artificial lake, as far as Roncitelli.
- Along the Cesano river embankment, among poplar groves and a varied landscape, you get to the Monterado forest and go up to the castle.
- From Saline and Viale dei Pini, you can walk up to the hill of Sant’Angelo surrounded by greenery.
