Not far from the center of Senigallia, Roncitelli can be reached by leaving the provincial road for Corinaldo and Arcevia towards the knoll surrounded by walls with an ancient entrance gate. Located on a hill to the left of the Misa river, 7 km from Senigallia, this village has very ancient origins and a Roman settlement is documented to have existed herein.
In ancient times, Roncitelli is mentioned in historical documents with various appellations. The name it bears today derives from the clearing of brambles and scrub.
The bell tower of the small village was demolished after the 1924 earthquake.
