Cupramontana has very ancient origins dating back to the pre-Roman era, and its name recalls a temple dedicated to the Etruscan Goddess Cupra.

Well worth a visit is the International Museum of Wine Labels, which collects about 60,000 specimens from the late nineteenth century to date, with sketches of the most important names of modern art from Picasso to Braque and Mirò.
