Monterado

The center of the small perched village is dominated by the Palace with the Monterado Castle, originally belonging to the hermitage of Santa Croce di Fonte Avellana, which was a beacon of civilization in Europe throughout the Middle Ages.

To get to the entrance of the imposing castle resting on solid walls, you cross the garden and a romantic bridge.
Monterado can be reached by driving along the Cesano river.
